RazorLite Frequently Asked Questions.

What is RazorLite?

RazorLite is a bendable illumination source, which utilizes highly advanced never before seen Light Emitting Capacitor Technology (LEC for short). It’s able to be custom cut into various shapes and sizes for the most creative of designs and applications.

This light film is not only razor thin(less than 1mm thick) but can withstand over 850 psi, which makes it perfect for the roughest automotive environments. RazorLite can endure vibration and impact so severe it’s durable enough to be placed directly inside the most powerful of subwoofer enclosures.

How bright is RazorLite?

RazorLite can be powered to illuminate between 50 cd/m² and 300 cd/m². In most backlighting instances, 150 cd/m² is used. 300 cd/m² could be used for applications with a great amount of ambient light such as a trade show.

How do I power RazorLite?

There are inverters associated with each size of panel. These inverters can be powered from any 12v DC electrical source.

How much power does it consume?

RazorLite is one of the world’s most energy efficient lighting source. Consuming an average of 8w per sq ft. Even a 3ft x 4ft panel can draw as little as 5amps of current from your vehicles electrical system.

Can I put it on the outside of my car?

RazorLite is perfect for interior lighting and can be further protected by the installer to use on the vehicle’s exterior.

Will I see it during the day?

The level of illumination of RazorLite is not yet adequate to overpower the sun.

What sizes does it come in?

RazorLite offers many sizes ranging from the 3.5” x 6.25” oval up to the 3ft x 6ft rectangle.

Is RazorLite environmentally friendly?

Yes. The chemicals in RazorLite panels are very environmentally friendly and also degradable. The laminates are typically less friendly because they are polymer based. These laminates are the same as those used in most shrink-wrapped products.
